Anne has taught voice, speech, dialects and acting for a number of acting conservatories in the United States and in England, including Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music—Drama Division, Ohio University, Guildford School of Acting, Guildford College and Millennium Dance 2000 Theatre School. She continues to work as a professional actor, having performed in a variety of theatres from Seattle to New York, predominantly with Shakespeare companies, such as a two-year residency as a principal actor with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, where she won a Cincinnati Entertainment Award for her role as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. Publications include “An Introduction to Coaching Ritualized Lamentation” in Voice and Gender, 2007 and “Searching for an International Shakespeare: Finding Space for Sounds” in Shakespeare Around the Globe, 2005, both incorporating her research and work in coaching the vocalization of heightened emotional states onstage. She received her BA from Rhodes College, her Certificate in Performance from Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York and an MA with Distinction in Voice Studies from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Anne is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.
