BFA in theatre from the University of Illinois with an emphasis in scenic technology/technical direction. Brian is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT). Previous regional positions include: carpenter for the New Harmony Theatre, Asst. Technical Director for the University of Illinois’ Summerfest ‘04, Asst. Technical Director for STAGES St. Louis, and Technical Director for Inventing Van Gogh at the Bailiwick Theatre in Chicago (Jeff Award winning for scenery). Local credits include; Technical Director for CSULB Opera Institute’s Candide, scenery and staging for industrial events including the 2007 Grammy Awards and fashion shows for Vogue, Guess Jeans, Vans, and Toyota. As well as freelance art department work on photo shoots and commercials for Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, KMS, Hillshire farms, and AT&T.
